MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Oklahoma-bound senior last year
was named as a finalist for LaRosa's Female MVP Award, a rare feat for a junior. A
5-year varsity starter, Kirsten in her career has pitched 80 shutouts, 30 no-hitters
and 11 perfect games. She once pitched 210 consecutive innings without giving up an
earned run, a Kentucky state record, one of 7 state records she holds. Last year, Kirsten
led the team to the state runner-up title (Ryle won state in 2006), with a 36-4 record
and single-season state record 0.19 ERA. She notched 451 strikeouts and pitched a single-season
state record 29 shutouts and 11 no-hitters. She has won dozens of honors, including
last year alone Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year, 1st team allstate, NKY Player
of the Year and the local Women's Sports Federation's Fast-Pitch Player of the Year.
She was also 1st team Academic All-State and for 3 years an all-star volleyball player.
