MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This senior has been an
integral part of the Mt. Notre Dame's back-to-back Ohio state championships
her sophomore and junior years, helping the school to be the first team in
Ohio to win two consecutive state titles. Last year, as a junior, Channing
averaged 12 points-6 rebounds a game for the 23-4 Cougars, while being named
1st team all-GGCL Scarlet, 1st team all-city, 2nd team all-SWO district and HM
all-state. She is having another standout season this year, too, with big
scoring efforts against Pickerington Central (26 points), Mt. DeChantel WV (22
points) and Chaminade-Julienne (22 points). A good student, Channing plays for
national champ Cincinnati's Finest during the summer. She will continue her
basketball excellence next year at the University of Texas-El Paso. Her
favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, favorite entertainer is Ne-Yo,
most-like-to-meet is Dwayne Wade, favorite movie is Love & Basketball, and her
favorite book is Piece of Cake.
