who, at the Don Mitchell Roosevelt Memorial Invitational at Dayton
Welcome Stadium, won the 2,000 meter steeplechase in 6:16.00, the fastest
time recorded in Ohio high school history. He also helped his Lancers� track
team last season break a 30-year old Cincinnati record in the 3,200 relay,
besting the time recorded by a 1976 Colerain team that included his current
head coach Frank Russo. Kyle is the defending GCL mile champion and last
year was 1st team all-city, all-district and all-region. Kyle also led the
cross country team to back-to-back Ohio state championships and twice has
been named GCL cross country Runner of the Year and 1st team all-state.
Active in community service, Kyle will run next year at the University of
Cincinnati. His favorite entertainer is Jerry Seinfeld, favorite athlete is
Dathan Ritzenhein, and his favorite movies are Coach Carter and Glory
Road.
