MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: A senior
tennis All-American, Matt is gunning for his 4th consecutive Ohio
state championship this year. He won state titles in doubles his
freshman and sophomore years, and a title in singles as a junior.
His record last year was 21-3. He helped make state history as a sophomore
when he won doubles and his brother John won singles, thus becoming the
only brother duo to win Ohio state tennis titles the same year. Three times
Matt has been named 1st team all-state, 1st team all-city and 1st team all
conference. Last season he was conference and Cincinnati Player of the
Year. Also on the academic honor roll all four years, Matt is active in
community service and will play tennis next year at Ohio State University.
His favorite athlete is Roger Federer, his favorite entertainer is Will
Ferrell
and his most-like-to-meet is Jesus.
