MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This running
phenom was the only junior last year voted as one of 6 finalists
for the LaRosa's Female Athlete of the Year Award. Angela
has won 5 Ohio Div. I state championships – 3 in track (3,200
run) and 2 in cross country. Last year she was named the area's
Sportswoman of the Year by the local Women's Sports Association,
Cincinnati's Track Runner of the Year (Enquirer) and has
been featured in Sports Illustrated. Her sophomore year, she helped
lead the Comets to the Ohio Div. I girls track team championship.
Also a superstar student (4.35 GPA), she is a member of National
Honor Society and plays flute in the concert band. She holds numerous
school running records, and will run next year at the U. of Illinois,
where she plans to study biomedical engineering. Her favorite entertainer
is Reese Witherspoon, her favorite athlete is Lance Armstrong and
her most-like-to-meet is George Washington.
