MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: This senior
amazingly has been playing varsity singles since the 6th grade,
and is part of Kentucky tennis lore – last season she and her brother,
Highland's then-freshman Richard, became only the 2nd sister-brother
team in state history to each win a regional final in the same
year. Anna compiled an 18-2 record last year while winning the
regional title for the second time and making it to the state quarterfinals.
Twice she has been named Northern Kentucky Player of the Year.
Anna also ran 2 years of cross country for the Bluebirds. She comes
by her athletic talent naturally – dad Carlos is a former soccer
player in Buenos Aires. An outstanding honor roll student, she
has received the school Straight-A Award and has been inducted
into the Sum Laude Society. Her favorite athlete is Rafael Nadal
and her most-like-to-meet is Roger Federer.
