MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: A 4-year starter, this senior is gunning for a state championship this year. As a junior, he was part of Turpin's 200 freestyle relay team that was district champions and Ohio state runners-up. Individually, Kyle was Ohio state runner-up in the 200 freestyle in a time of 1:41:27, and also finished 8th in the 500 freestyle. He has earned All-American and All-Ohio honors in 4 different events and was named 1st team all-city. He holds several school records and in 2004 was on the YMCA national champion and record-setting 800 freestyle relay team. He also swims for the M.E. Lyons YMCA club team. Very active in community service, including the Food Bank, and a good student, Kyle will swim next year at the University of Kentucky. His favorite entertainers are Jim Carrey and Denzel Washington; his favorite athlete is Michael Phelps and his most-like-to-meet is Mark Spitz.
