MVP ACCOMPLISHMENTS: A solid 3-year
varsity starting career ended for the Highlands' quarterback and
team captain by winning the Bluebirds's 10th straight district
championship, and leading the team through 3 rounds of playoffs
and a 9-4 record. He also has earned a Kentucky state championship
during his junior year when he led the Bluebirds to a 14-1 season
and the school's record-setting 16th Class AAA football state title.
During the regular season this year, he threw for 1,171 yards (9
TDs), and he was also the team's punter, averaging 31.8 yards per
punt. Among his notable games was in a big playoff win, throwing
for 187 yards (4 TDs) vs. Franklin County. An honor roll student
and member of National Honor Society, Chase is active in community
service. He also runs track for the Bluebirds. His favorite entertainer
is Owen Wilson; his favorite athletes are Brady Quinn and Carson
Palmer and his most-like-to-meet is Mike Ditka.
