A four-year varsity starter in softball, Deer Park senior Jenna
Shepherd also played three years of volleyball and two years of
basketball for the Lady Wildcats.
A softball pitcher and first baseman, Jenna is coming off a junior
campaign for
the 18-7 Lady Wildcats when she was 12-6 in the circle, with 89 strike
outs in
104.1 innings pitched, a 1.95 ERA and four shutouts. At the dish, she
hit .431
with five doubles, four home runs and 25 RBI.
Jenna has earned numerous softball honors. She has been first-team
all-CHL three straight years, plus she is a three-time all-star for
the Enquirer's all-city team and for the Div. III SWO all-district
teams. Her sophomore year, she also was CHL Player of the Year and
honorable mention all-Ohio.
Her senior year in volleyball, Jenna notched 110 kills and 91 digs,
and was
honorable mention all-CHL. She also played two years of basketball.
Jenna is a four-year honor roll student who is active in community
service and will play softball collegiately at the University of
Charleston.
