A four-year varsity starter for the defending ECC champions, Valerie
helped last year's Lady Eagles chalk up their first undefeated 14-0
record in league competition.
The senior pitcher and first baseman entering this season has an
accomplished career 1.59 ERA in the circle and a .359 batting average.
Her junior year, Valerie notched a 19-3 record with 134 strikeouts, a
league-leading 10 shutouts and a 1.01 ERA. She also hit .338 with 22
RBI.
She earned numerous honors, including being named Cincinnati Div. I
Co-Player of the Year, 1st team all-ECC, 1st team all-city (Enquirer),
and honorable mention all-Ohio. She was a finalist for the 2016
Greater Cincinnati High School Sports Awards in softball.
Valerie is a great academic student and member of National Honor
Society, who also is active in community service. She has committed to
play softball at Tennessee State University.
Her favorite athlete is Jay Bruce, favorite entertainer is Pentatonix,
favorite book is The Book Thief, favorite movie is A League of Their
Own and most-like-to-meet is Harry Styles.
