A four-year varsity starter at Covington Catholic, he is the Colonels'
all-time leading scorer and will graduate as the most decorated
basketball player in school history.
Entering his senior season, Cole had already scored 2,032 points in
his great varsity career, the first Colonels’ player to accomplish
this feat. He also has more than 100 wins in his varsity career.
Cole is putting up impressive numbers this season, too, scoring 27
points vs. Highlands, 26 vs. Louisville St. Xavier, 25 vs. Bowling
Green, 25 vs. Madison Central and 24 points vs. Conner and Holmes.
His junior year, he averaged 17 points per game and was part of the
2013-2014 team that won the Colonels' first-ever Kentucky state
basketball championship while being named to the state all-tournament
team.
Three times he has been named to both the all-district and
all-regional teams. His junior year, he was MVP of the 35th district
tournament, 1st team NKY (Enquirer) and 1st team NKAC (Coaches). He is
a Kentucky Mr. Basketball nominee this season.
A good student who is extremely active in community service, Cole will
play basketball collegiately at Fairmont State University in West
Virginia.
