Megan is a four-year volleyball starter at libero and a three-time
team captain of the Firebirds, who finished 15-8 on the season, 7-2 in
league play. She is one of the GMC's top volleyball players and holds
school records in digs in a season (511), digs per game in a season
(6.99), career digs (1,930) and career digs per game (6.45).
This season, Megan had a league-leading 454 digs plus she had 47
assists and 37 aces. She was named 1st team all-GMC for the third time
with additional honors likely to follow.
Her junior season, Megan was 2nd team all-city and 1st team SWO
District when she recorded 446 digs (the 2nd most in the GMC) to go
along with 53 aces.
Megan also is an academic all-star and has won numerous GMC
all-academic awards. She is active in community service and will play
volleyball collegiately at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Her favorite athlete is JJ Watt, favorite entertainer is Old Dominion,
favorite book is "The Chosen Ones-The Team That Beat LeBron" and her
most-like-to-meet is Michael Phelps.
