A 4-year softball varsity pitcher and infielder, senior Kianah Towe is
on pace to become the Thunderhawks' all-time winner in the circle.
She is having a strong senior season, with numerous impressive games.
In a 10-0 shutout win vs. Sycamore, she struck out 13 batters, plus at
the plate she went 2-4, with a double, triple and 3 RBI. In a 5-0
shutout win vs. Lakota West, she threw a 1-hitter, striking out 16
batters. In a 4-0 shutout win vs. Fairfield, she struck out 10, and in
a 7-5 win vs. Oak Hills, she struck out 12 hitters while moving her
record to 12-1 on the season.
Kianah is coming off a junior season when she went 17-5 with 145
strikeouts in 121 innings pitched, a 2.14 ERA and 6 shutouts. She also
hit .365 with 13 RBI, helping the team win a sectional championship.
Entering this season, she has notched 12 shutouts and 8 no-hitters.
Kianah's accomplishments have been recognized by being named 1st team
all-GMC as a junior and 2nd team all-GMC as a sophomore.
A National Honor Society student who is extremely active in community
service, she will play softball collegiately at the University of
Missouri-St. Louis. Her club team is the Miami Valley Xpress Gold.
