A multi-talented star, Roger Bacon senior Ashton Lindner is a 4-year
varsity starter in softball, basketball and soccer.
In softball, she started this season in big-time fashion. In a season
opening double-header sweep vs. Finneytown, she pitched and won the
1st game 10-1 striking out 10 batters while going 4-4 with a double at
the plate. In the 2nd game win, she struck out seven batters while
going 2-4 with a double at the plate. She got her 3rd win of the
season in a 12-1 win, 12 strikeout performance vs. Madeira while going
3-5 at the plate with a triple, homerun and 4 RBI.
Her junior season, Ashton went 17-6 with 172 strikeouts in 145 innings
pitched with 7 shutouts and a 2.2 ERA. At the plate, she hit .538 with
43 RBI. She led the league in RBI (43), doubles (15) triples (5) and
homeruns (5) plus in the circle with innings pitched (145.1),
strikeouts (172) and shutouts (7).
Ashton already owns the school record with 514 strikeouts and
counting. She earned numerous honors last season, including GCL Co-Ed
Central Player of the Year for the second time, 1st team all-city Div.
III for the 2nd time and 2nd team SWO District.
In soccer this past season, Ashton became the school's all-time assist
leader and was 1st team GCL Co-Ed Central and 2nd team all-city in
Div. III. In basketball, she averaged 6.5 points a game, plus 5.5
rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.5 steals per game.
