A three-year varsity starter for St. Xavier, senior running back Ben
Glines has also played as a wide receiver and defensive back for the
Bombers. During the eight and two regular season, Ben rushed for 923
yards and 13 TDs.
Big rushing games this season came against Brentwood, Tennessee, 167
yds. (two TDs), Elder, 172 yds. (three TDs), Louisville St. Xavier,
142 yds. (one TD) and East St. Louis, 126 yds. (three TDs.) His junior
year, Ben had 715 rushing yards (seven TDs) plus, 23 receptions, for
240 yds. (two TDs.) Also his junior year, Ben set a school-record with
44 carries vs. Indianapolis Cathedral.
Ben's honors last season included being named 1st team all-GCL and
team MVP. An academic honor roll student who is active in community
service, Ben has committed to play football collegiately at Boston
College.
His favorite athlete is LeBron James, favorite entertainer is Mark
Wahlberg, favorite book is The Outsiders, favorite movie is the Fast
and Furious series and most-like-to-meet is Johnny Manziel.
