A senior defensive tackle & defensive end, senior team captain
Jordan Thompson, who battled an early-season injury, is a force on the
field for the Lancers.
His junior year, Jordan put up impressive stats - he had 62 tackles,
4.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He earned numerous honors, including
being named 1st team GCL-South, 1st team all-city (Enquirer), 1st team
SWO District and 3rd team all-Ohio in Div. II.
"Jordan is an outstanding football player," says head coach Nate
Moore. "He uses his hands to destroy offensive lineman at the point of
attack and has the quickness to pursue and make plays down the line of
scrimmage. He is a two-sport athlete who is able to maintain a high
GPA while taking a rigorous course load."
Jordan also plays basketball for the Lancers who went 18-6 last
season. An academic honors student who is active in community service,
his favorite athletes are J.J. Watt and Warren Sapp. Jordan has
committed to play football next season at Northwestern University.
COACH'S QUOTE – "Jordan's passionate drive for excellence in
himself and those around him is his best and most admirable quality;
it is this attribute that ensures him success well beyond his athletic
endeavors."
— Nate Moore, Football Coach
