A senior running back and three year varsity starter, Nate played in
only eight games last season due to injury, but he was still a major
force in the Tigers winning its first ever Ohio Div. II football state
championship. In his limited playing time, Nate managed 1,340 rushing
yards (18 TDs) before the injury.
"Nate has a natural instinct when running the ball," says Coach Fred
Cranford. "A very explosive
and powerful running back, Nate is gifted with hips that allow him to
move his body as quick as
he see things open up. His break away speed and separation ability is
best I have seen."
Nate earned numerous honors, including being named ECC Offensive
Player of the Year, Cincinnati Div. II Player of the Year, Southwest
Ohio District Div. II Offensive Player of the Year and Ohio Div. II
Offensive Player of the Year. He was also a finalist for the Ohio
National Guard Player of the Year, and has been named 1st team
all-conference three times.
COACH'S QUOTE – "Nate is a true three dimensional back,
powerful, shifty, scary fast. He is a tremendous student-athlete,
leads by example in the classroom and on the field. A very high
character example for his peers and teammates. Nate's continued drive,
determination and ability has helped make him one of the top running
backs in the State of Ohio."
