Senior track and field athlete Loretta Blaut won last year's Ohio
state Div. I championship in the high jump (5'7"), becoming the first
track and field state champion in Seton history. She won the state
title after winning the conference (5'9"), district (5'7"), and
regional (5'8") titles, setting records along the way.
For her accomplishments, Loretta was named 1st team GGCL Scarlet, 1st
team all-city and Cincinnati Div. I Field Athlete of the Year
(Enquirer) and will be competing this summer in the USA Junior
National Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Loretta was also a three year varsity starter in basketball
for the Saints, averaging 10.7 ppg. with 9.3 rpg. her senior year. She
was named 1st team all-GGCL and special mention SWO district.
A good student who is very active in community service with numerous
mission trips, Loretta has committed to the University of Cincinnati.
Her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan, favorite entertainer is Luke
Bryan and most-like-to-meet is Ellen DeGeneres.
