A 3-year varsity starter at guard for the Spartans, Carlas Jackson had
scored 734 points entering his senior year. He has had double-digit
games this season vs. Purcell-Marian (22 points), Fenwick (22),
Johnson Central (20), and Elder (18). His junior year, Carlas averaged
15.5 points, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals for the Spartans, helping the
team to a 24-4 record, a 5th straight league title and a Div. III
district championship.
Carlas has earned numerous honors, including last season being named
GCL Central Player of the Year, 1st team all-conference for the 2nd
time, 1st team all-city, 1st team SWO district and honorable mention
all-state. He has been nominated to play in the McDonald's
All-American games this spring.
Carlas also played football for the Spartans and holds the school
record for receptions in a season with 52. Active in community
service, Carlas will play basketball at the next level but has not yet
selected a college. His favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is
LeBron James.
