Princeton senior Kelsey Mitchell is the consensus #1 point guard in
the USA, class of 2014. A 4-year varsity starter, she has scored
1,200+ points in her super high school career and started hot this
season by scoring 42 points vs. Centerville and 34 vs. Fairmont.
Despite missing 15 games due to injury last season, Kelsey still
managed to score 280 points (averaging 23.3 points per game) and was
named the Enquirer's Cincinnati Player of the Year for the 3rd
straight season. She was also named Cincinnati Player of the Year by
the Greater Cincinnati Basketball Hall of Fame and the local Women's
Sports Association. She was SWO District Player of the Year, 1st team
all-Ohio and was a finalist for the LaRosa's MVP of the Year award.
Kelsey has committed to play at the Ohio State University along with
her twin sister Chelsea, also a Princeton basketball all-star. Their
dad Mark is an OSU assistant coach. Kelsey's favorite athlete is Kobe
Bryant.
