Greg Simpson has wrapped up a solid football career with the Sycamore
Aves. A 3-year varsity starter at quarterback, his senior year he
passed for 574 yds. (5 TDs) and rushed for 829 yds. (13 TDs). He was
also one of the top punters in the league with a 41.2 yd. average.
His junior year, Greg passed for 1,024 yds. (13 TDs) and led the GMC
in rushing with 1,915 yds. (28 TDs). His 1,915 yds. rushing set a
school record for single-season rushing yards. For his junior year
accomplishments, Greg was named GMC Offensive Player of the Year, 1st
team all-city (Enquirer) and honorable mention all-SWO district.
Greg is active in community service, and also played baseball for the
Aves. He has not yet selected a college but plans to play football at
the next level.
His favorite athlete is Russell Wilson, favorite book is The Outsiders
and favorite movies are Gladiator and Scarface.
