Kings High School senior tennis star Amina Ismail began this season already having an impressive 88-8 prep career record. Her junior year, she was 28-4 and finished as ECC and sectional champion, district runner-up and 4th in the Ohio state tournament. This season, Amina was conference champ for the fourth straight year. She finished as sectional runner-up and was district singles champion.

Amina has earned numerous tennis honors, including her junior year when she was named ECC Conference Player of the Year and 1st team all-city by the Enquirer and the Greater Cincinnati Tennis Coaches Association.

Amina is the third member of her family to qualify for the state tournament. Her brother, Ra'ees, was part of Kings' state doubles' championship team in 2005, and her sister, Safiyya, qualified for state three times.

Active in community service, Amina will play at the next level but has not yet selected a college. Her favorite athlete is Roger Federer, favorite entertainer is Ed Sheeran and most like to meet is Niall Horan.
