Lancer senior Jaleel Hytchye is the reigning GCL South track champion
in the 100, 200 and 400 runs. He is also the reigning district champ
in the 100 and regional champ in the 200 run.
His sophomore year, Jaleel was a key cog in the 4x800 relay team that
won the Ohio state championship. "Jaleel played an instrumental role
in our program winning the state track title in 2011. It's rare to see
a sophomore succeed at that level," said track coach Frank Russo.
Jaleel also played football at cornerback and this past season had 30
tackles and 2 interceptions, earning 2nd team GGCL, 2nd team SWO
district and 1st team all-Tristate honors. He has committed to the
University of Kentucky for football.
A good student active in community service, his favorite athlete is
Patrick Peterson, favorite entertainer is Drake, favorite book is The
Land, favorite movie is Jason's Lyric and most-like-to-meet are Drake
and Deion Sanders.
