The Cooper family tradition of winning Kentucky wrestling state championships continues at Simon Kenton with senior Kevin Cooper, who has won his 3rd straight state title (152 weight class).

Last season, Kevin went an undefeated 68-0 and won his 2nd straight Kentucky state championship, this one in the 145 lb. weight class. He also won the Kentucky championship his sophomore year in the 135 lb. weight class.

Kevin had an impressive 199-15 record entering his senior season, and has won 4 straight regional titles. Last season, he was named NKY Co-Wrestler of the Year by the Enquirer.

Kevin's brothers Craig, Brad and Neil, plus cousins Kyle and Austin, all won Kentucky state wrestling titles prior to Kevin's time on center stage.

He has won numerous awards, including last year's Kentucky National Guard Warrior Award. He was also ranked 12th in the nation in his weight class by USA Wrestling.

Kevin has committed to wrestle next season at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. His favorite athlete is Nate Carr.
