ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
A 4-year varsity starter, senior Kayla McDowell has 1,000+ points in her great career. This season, she has had double-digit games vs. Lakota East (26 points), Fairfield (25), Middletown (24) and McAuley (23).

Kayla averaged 13.7 ppg.-8 rpg. last season, helping the Comets (18-7) to the sectional and district championships and a regional runner-up finish. She was named 1st team GMC, 1st team all-city and special mention all-SWO District. She also played 2 years of volleyball for the Comets.

An academic honors student, Kayla is active in community service, and she has committed to the University of Missouri for basketball. She plays for the Cincinnati Angels during the summer. Kayla joins both older brother Quinn (Moeller, 2008) and sister Breann (Ursuline, 2010) as LaRosa's MVP nominees.

Her favorite athlete is Tim Tebow, favorite entertainer is Taylor Swift, favorite book is Love Does, favorite movie is Pitch Perfect and most-like-to-meet is author Bob Goff.
