ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Four-year varsity starter and highly recruited hoops' star Monty Boykins led the Firebirds in scoring last season with 16.6 ppg.- 6.2 rpg., plus 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Big games included scoring 26 pts. vs. Colerain, 25 vs. Mason and 24 vs. Middletown. Monty was named 1st team GMC, 1st team all-city, 2nd team SWO district and honorable mention all-Ohio. He is the first in his schools' history to be offered a D-I basketball scholarship. Monty comes from an extremely athletic family with numerous collegiate and professional athletes, including dad LaMont who played professional football and mom Lyneeta who played college basketball. An academic honors student active in community service, Monty will continue his basketball career, but has not yet selected a college. His summer club is the Ohio Phenoms.

His favorite athlete is Kevin Durant, favorite entertainer is Drake, favorite book is The Great Gatsby, favorite movie is Like Mike and his most-like-to-meet are John Wooden & Dick Vitale.
