ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Highlands' senior Donovan McCoy moved to QB full-time this season and is leading the charge for a Bluebirds' 6th straight Kentucky state championship. Donovan played mostly receiver last season, leading the team with 36 catches (719 yds., 7 TDs), helping the Bluebirds to a 15-0 record and the state title. He's had some mighty games this season, including a 61-3 victory over Mason County when he passed for 408 yds. with 6 TDs and also scored a rushing touchdown. He also threw for 5 TDs in a victory over Harrison County. Donovan played basketball as a freshman and sophomore, and is considering running track this year. Active in community service and a National Honor Society student, he plans on joining a college team, but has not yet selected a college. His favorite athlete is Peyton Manning, favorite entertainer is Denzel Washington, favorite book is Where The Red Fern Grows, favorite movie is Pursuit of Happiness and most-like-to-meet is Tim Tebow.
