ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Covington Catholic senior QB Blake Bir started off strong this
season for the Colonels, throwing a single game school-record tying 6
TD passes vs. Dixie Heights and passing for an additional 5 TDs vs.
Boone County. Blake already holds the school passing record for career
TDs and is rapidly adding to that record game by game this season.
Entering this season, Blake had passed for 4,714 yards (50 TDs) in his
career. His junior year, he led the team to a 10-3 record with 2,429
passing yards (28 TDs). Blake has been named honorable mention
all-Northern Kentucky twice, and was a baseball player his sophomore
year. Active in community service and an academic all-state student,
Blake plans to continue his football career in college, but has not
made his collegiate selection. His favorite athlete is Drew Brees,
favorite entertainer is Will Ferrell, favorite book is Coming Back
Stronger, favorite movie is Anchorman and most-like-to-meet is Tim
Tebow.
