ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Lakota East senior Michael Conrad broke the school district's 32-year-old strikeout record this season in a 7-1 victory against Colerain. In the game, Michael struck out 12 batters, recording his 214th career strikeout, etching his name in the school record books. And, he is adding to that career total this season. Last season he helped the team to a 24-7 record (team's best ever) and the Thunderhawks' first-ever Ohio state Div. I championship. He went 5-1 with a 1.11 ERA. His 115 strikeouts tied a Lakota district single season record. A highlight was when he pitched a complete game in Lakota East's 7-2 state semifinal victory against Grove City. His accomplishments were recognized with numerous awards, including being named GMC Co-Player of the Year, Cincinnati Div. I Player of the Year, 1st team all-conference, 1st team all-city and 2nd team all-state. An honor roll student Michael will continue his baseball career next season at the University of Cincinnati.
