ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
One of best track middle distance runners ever to come out of
Cincinnati, McAuley senior Danielle Pfeifer so far has 11 conference and 8
district championships in individual and relay events. Recently, she ran the
1,600 in a city and state best 5:09.57 and ran the 400 dash in a city best
58.53. Last season, Danielle achieved her third consecutive regional
championship in the 800 run, setting a meet record of 2:10.61. She also
finished as Ohio state runner-up in the 800 in a city record time of
2:10.15. And, she set an indoor track Ohio state record in the 800 as a
junior with her time of 2:08.84 then being the second fastest in the nation.
She holds 7 school records and has earned numerous honors, including twice
being named GGCL Track Runner of the Year. An academic all-state performer
and member of National Honor Society, Danielle will run next season at the
University of Michigan.
