ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Entering her senior season in track & field, Claudia Saunders
already holds 5 school records. Last season, Claudia took the regional
championships in the 100 and 300 hurdles and the 1,600 relay event and was
named GMC Track Athlete of the Year. Her sophomore year, she was awarded the
Ohio state championship in the 100 hurdles and was named Cincinnati's Track
Athlete of the Year. Claudia is also the reigning Ohio state champion in
cross country (school record 18:04), becoming the first Princeton cross
country runner to win the individual state title in school history. She was
named GMC and Cincinnati Cross Country Runner of the Year, 1st team
all-state and Gatorade Ohio Cross Country Runner of the Year. Claudia is
also an all-star indoor track performer, is active in community service, is
a 3-time academic all-state student and co-president of National Honor
Society. She will be competing next year at Stanford University. Her
most-like-to-meet is Nelson Mandela.
