ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
When Covington Catholic senior Evan Talkers graduates in the spring,
he'll take some athletic school records with him. During the fall, Evan
competed in two sports -- soccer and football -- during the same season. In
soccer, the Colonels finished the regular schedule unbeaten (14-0-3) for the
first time in 29 years, and team captain Evan was the team's leading scorer
with 18 goals. He finished his soccer career with 55 goals, tying a school
record. His junior year Evan was named MVP of the district tournament and
1st team all-NKY. Also a kicker in football, Evan was part of a Colonels'
team that went 10-3 and was regional runners-up. His 57 PATs set a
single-season record and his 165 points set a career kicking record. Active
in community service, Evan is academic all-state and is a member of National
Honor Society. His favorite athlete is Lionel Messi, favorite entertainer is
Jay-Z and his most-like-to-meet is Dani Alves.
