- MVP Accomplishments: This eight-time All-American (4 individual, 4 relays) is the defending
Kentucky state champion in the 50 freestyle event, which she won as a junior in the time of
24.11. Katie last year also took runner-up medals at state in the 100 freestyle and 200 medley
relay events. The state title was her second one -- she also helped win the 400 freestyle
relay Kentucky state title as a sophomore. She has been named 1st team all-state twice, 1st
team all-region three times and was last year’s coaches’ association pick as
Northern Kentucky Swimmer of the Year. During her varsity career, NDA has captured one team
state championship and two state runner-up finishes. Katie holds 4 school records and 2
regional records. Her summer club team is the Northern Kentucky Clippers. Active in community
service, Katie will swim next year at the University of Illinois. Her favorite athlete is
Edwin Moses.
