Success began early for Taylor. Her sophomore year, she won the Ohio State Div. II championship in the 200 freestyle and was runner-up in the 500 freestyle.
Last year as a junior, Taylor repeated as Ohio state champion in the 200 freestyle and runner-up in the 500 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay.
Taylor, who holds five school records, has earned numerous accolades, including last season when she was CHL Swimmer of the Year, Cincinnati Enquirer Div. II Swimmer of the Year and a finalist for Cincinnati Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year by the Enquirer’s All-Star Awards program.
Taylor also has competed in soccer, cross country, basketball, and track for the Eagles; in fact, she was MVC track champion in the 3,200 run her freshman year, MVC champ in cross country her sophomore year and twice was named MVC Cross Country Runner of the Year. At the national NCSA Summer Swimming Championships in Indianapolis, she took first in the 200 butterfly in 2:14.04, thus qualifying for the U.S. Open Championships.
Taylor, who also swims for the Mason Manta Rays, will continue her academic and athletic career at Auburn University.
