- MVP Accomplishments: This senior two-sport (baseball and basketball) star has been named
1st team all-conference three times and 1st team all-city twice in baseball. A 4-year varsity
starter for the Indians, Kurt is an infielder (3rd base, shortstop, 1st base) and pitcher who
during the regular season last year hit .509 with 23 RBIs, 26 stolen bases and scored 36 runs.
On the mound he went 8-2 with 0.91 ERA with 80 strike outs. In an 8-0 no-hitter vs. St.
Bernard this season, he struck out 14. He also struck out 14 in a 12-5 win vs. Seven Hills.
Kurt will play baseball in the fall at Ohio University. Also a 4-year basketball starter, Kurt
averaged 10 points-9 rebounds per game last season and twice has been named 1st team
all-conference, and earned honorable mention all-city and all-Southwest Ohio district. His
favorite athlete and his most-like-to-meet is Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling.
