- MVP Accomplishments: This senior left-handed pitcher helped lead the Crusaders (28-3) to
their 4th Ohio state baseball title last season when he started and won the final game in the
state tournament, defeating Mentor 6-2, striking out seven. He also won the regional
championship game in a 2-0 shutout over St. Xavier. For the season, Eric was 8-0 (4 shutouts)
with 81 strike outs in 47.2 innings of work. He gave up only 3 earned runs all season long,
and his 0.44 ERA was the 2nd lowest in the history of the school. (His 0.32 as a sophomore was
the school’s lowest). He was named 1st team all-conference and 1st team all-city. In the
summer, Eric plays for the Cincinnati Bulls baseball club. He will pitch next season on
scholarship at North Carolina State University. Active in community service, Eric’s
favorite athlete and most-like-to-meet is Roger Clemens, and his favorite entertainer is Dave
Chappelle.
