- MVP Accomplishments: A 5-time swimming All-American, Emily set a national YMCA record in the
long-course 400 meter freestyle this summer.
- A four-year varsity swimmer, she helped her team win a state championship in the 400
freestyle relay in 2003, and has earned all-region honors three times, all-state honors once
and was Northern Kentucky’s Female Swimmer of the Year as a sophomore. Last year she won
4 regional titles and was state runner-up in the 500 freestyle. Her club team is the Anderson
Barracudas. Holder of numerous school and regional swimming records, Emily is also an academic
honor student who is active in community service, this year she has been nominated for the
Wendy’s High School Heisman award. Emily will swim next year for the University of
Michigan. Her favorite athlete is Janet Evans, and her most-like-to-meet is Reese Witherspoon.
