- MVP Accomplishments: One of Northern Kentucky’s best volleyballers is Highlands senior
setter Natalie Forbes who began playing for the Bluebirds in the 8th grade. Last season the
team went 26-13 and was regional runner-up, and Natalie was named to the all-regional team.
She also has earned honors as conference Div. II Most Valuable Player, 1st team all-Northern
Kentucky
twice and 2nd team all-state twice. Her 2003 AAU summer team -- the
Cincy Classics -- won the USA Junior Olympics national championship in
Atlanta, and Natalie was named to the all-tournament team. An academic
honor roll student who is active in community service, Natalie will play
volleyball next year at Northern Kentucky University. Her favorite
entertainer is Adam Sandler; her favorite athlete is Michael Jordan and
her most-like-to-meet is Oprah Winfrey.
