ELIGIBILITY FOR THE HALL OF FAME
Eligibility for the Buddy LaRosa's Hall of Fame is open to male
or female athletes (living or deceased), who participated in high
school sports in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.
The nominee must be graduated from high school for at least 10
years.
With the Class of 1996, LaRosa's inaugurated the Hank Zureick Memorial
Coaches Hall of Fame to be presented to a coach (living or deceased)
for lifelong accomplishment to the high school community. With
the Class of 1999, one induction will be made for a coach in male
sports, one induction for a coach in female sports.
A maximum of five athletes will be inducted each year. Beginning
with the Hall of Fame Class of 1996, nominees will be eligible
for consideration on the following basis: one inductee up through
the Class of 1970 and four inductees from Class of 1971 to present.
Nominees will be considered by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee
for a period of no more than seven (7) years after initial nomination.
Any athlete or coach may be nominated with a thorough list of accomplishments
sent to LaRosa's main office.
Induction is based solely upon high school accomplishments. Collegiate,
professional or other amateur achievements will have no bearing
on Hall of Fame selection.
